PrefaceGod’s Word, the Bible, is full of marvelous truths, and marvelous mystery. Clues, to the meaning of the mysteries, are found all through the Bible. Most of the mysteries are eventually revealed to a careful reader. When I began seeing these clues about an adventurous journey to a glorious Kingdom, I got really excited. I got even more excited when I noticed that the story began before the creation of the world. There were conversations in heaven, even before the beginning, which stated what God was about to do. And there were listeners in heaven that heard these conversations and must have marveled at what they heard. There were also conversations in the Garden, between God, the first two people, and a serpent. These conversations set the scene for the rest of the story. Then God spoke to his people throughout the ages. Sometimes He spoke directly to people, and other times He spoke through certain people sent by Him. He also spoke by His Son, by His Spirit, and through His Word, the Bible. God has been actively speaking for ages.A lot of these times when God spoke, He was telling a story of an epic journey. A journey that takes place over a long time and ends with a perfect King and perfect citizens of the perfect Kingdom. And not only does He speak about it, but He also does great works throughout history, “working all things together for the good” of His people. This is my attempt to tell that story by telling truths from the Bible, using all the clues I could find, and adding a storyline that includes the three persons of God- God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. It also includes all of mankind, and all of angel kind. I hope and pray that you will discover, as I did, that you are one of the “Saints of the Most High” who are guaranteed an inheritance in the KINGDOM.I originally started writing this as a letter to my grandchildren. It was intended to be a gift left to them, by their grandfather. You will hear their names, Briggs and River, occasionally as you read it. The letter grew into a book intended for anyone that God might put it into the hands of. You might consider inserting your name every time you see Brigg’s and River’s names. Then the prayer mentioned above is for you too.The best legacy that I could imagine leaving for my grandchildren is to leave them with a vison for God. So glorious a vision that they will want to seek Him as the greatest of life’s treasures. Greater than money, or things, or ambition or accomplishment. A vision like the one that God has slowly worked into my soul now, for over three decades.
